The Unheavenly Skye Tour is for the enthusiastic metalhead looking to rage out, mosh out, and chorus their little voice out to epic anthems from two of rocks most creative outfits.
Album Review: The Head and The Heart – Living Mirage
Living Mirage is the first ride on the Johnson-less, Russell-steered ship to bigger things that may or may not be better for the band. Only way to find out is to try, and that is something these reacquainted musician friends are ready to explore together.
Shinedown – Live @ The Coca-Cola Roxy
The Shinedown chaps may have changed things up a bit, but the intensity, musicianship, soul and showmanship remained as lit as ever. The gang's temporary metamorphosis was well received by aficionados and straightforwardly proved how musically diverse these alt-metal cats really are.
Shaky Knees Festival – Live @ Atlanta’s Central Park
Ladies and gentlemen, the fine folks that organize Shaky Knees deserve a round of applause and a tip of the hat. Excellent job, artists. Wonderful job, Atlanta. Amazing job, Shaky Knees. Till next year.
In This Moment – Live @ The Tabernacle
From leader Maria Brink to the Blood Girls and everyone in between, In This Moment are a force to be reckoned with. Presenters of a witching hour of live metal grandstanding, In This Moment is candidly a can't miss act.
Aterciopelados & Los Amigos Invisibles – Live @ Center Stage
Aterciopelados brought their oddball rock best, and Los Amigos Invisibles simply delighted with their dance disco approach; yet both styles were equally welcomed and cuddled by the Hotlanta crowd. The night was colored of Latin rock hues, and on this evening, that was just perfect.
Santana – Live @ Ameris Bank Amphitheatre
Carlos Santana and his posse rifled off renditions left and right, each passing tune better than its predecessor. From start through encore and beyond, roars drew louder, applause rained heavier, the music simply took over.
Album Review: Cage the Elephant – Social Cues
Simply stated, Social Cues is a forthright look inward, an exposé detailing a frightening and maturing journey, and one heck of a rock-n-roll record.
KISS – Live @ KFC Yum! Center
The body of work that KISS sets forth on the live circuit is intensely elaborate and monumentally thrilling. While this crazy and wacky bunch play the parts of fictitious shock-rock virtuosos, the truth is their music is anything but fake and their pageantry is straight up aces.
Album Review: Nick Waterhouse — Nick Waterhouse
Nick Waterhouse, the album, is a Rat-Pack(ish) affair. An ode to the yesteryear brand of jazz fixtures and early rock-n-roll awakenings.
